ASL News Item (October 20, 2008): Lebanese daily Annahar publishes article by ASL President on the problem of growing the sciences in the Arab World

The Lebanese daily Annahar, in its Monday October 20, 2008 issue, published an extensive article authored by ASL President Edgar Choueiri in which he discusses the issues related to growing a world-class scientific culture in the Arab World. The same page also carried the first introduction of the ASL in the Lebanese media and announced the upcoming meeting of the ASL Executive in committee which followed the same week in Beirut.
